Storming Flame is one of the most popular card games in the world. Millions of people enjoy playing it each year, but many don't know all the ins and outs of the game. In this article, we will teach you how to play Storming Flame like a pro!

The Basics

The goal of Storming Flame is to be the first player to earn 7 points. Points can be earned by either capturing cards or playing them in a specific order. The deck consists of 52 cards, which are divided into 4 suits: Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades. There are also 2 wild cards - the Ace and the Joker.

The player who picks up the first card from the deck is known as the dealer. The dealer then passes one card to their left, and play passes clockwise. On a player's turn, they must play 1 card from their hand. If they cannot play any cards, they must draw one from the deck. When a player captures a card, they place it in front of them. The next player then has to either play a card or draw one from the deck. Play continues until either someone captures all the cards or there are no cards left in the deck. The winner is then determined by counting up each players points (see below for more details).

Playing Cards In order to capture a card, the rank (Ace through 10) and suit of your card must match that of the captured card - for example, if an Ace of clubs is played, you can capture another Ace of clubs OR any other club-suited card (2 through 10). However, if an Ace of hearts is played and another Ace is played soon afterwards by another player, neither player captures anything as both Aces cancel each other out! If two different suits are played (e.g., two clubs), then whichever suit was last played captures all other suits until another suit is played. So if hearts are being played and clubs are played next, then any other heart would capture any club on the table but not vice versa!

If a wildcard (Ace or Joker) is used to capture another card, then it can capture any other rank or suit - for example an Ace of Spades could capture any other spade as well as any number from 2 through 10 inclusive). If a wildcard is used to capture another wildcard however, then ONLY another Ace or Joker can be captured; no other rank or suit would be possible.

As mentioned above, when two different suits are played next to each other on the table (e.g., two clubs), whichever suit was last played captures all other suits until another suit is played. This particular rule can come in handy if you only have 1 Club left in your hand and don't want your opponent to pick it up! By playing your last Club onto the table as soon as possible, you ensure that your opponent cannot pick it up even if they have a Club-suited card in their hand!
